Abstract

From the very beginning of creation, the greatness of woman has been described, from the very beginning she has been worshiping the human race in many forms like man's half-brother, mother, daughter, sister etc. Apala, Ghosha, Lopa, Gargi etc. women are mentioned in Vedic literature. In the Puranic age, women like Sita, Savitri, Draupadi, Anusuya, Damayanti etc. are mentioned respectfully. Adi Shakti Maa Durga is still worshiped with utmost respect in the entire land of India. Who does not know Adi Shakti Jagajjani Parvati who gives power to Ardhanarishvara Shiva.
